Learn how the ABLE Accounts offered by MEFA & managed by Fidelity Investments can benefit you or your family.

The Attainable Savings Plan offers individuals with disabilities the opportunity to invest in a tax-advantaged savings account for short and long-term disability-related expenses, while keeping benefits such as Social Security and Medicaid.
Attainable helps ensure a safe and secure future for individuals with disabilities, and is the result of the passage of the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act.
The Attainable Savings Plan is advantageous because it:
  • Fosters and supports the health, independence, and quality of life of individuals with disabilities
  • Offers various investment options
  • Provides federal tax benefits
  • May be used without affecting other disability-related benefits, such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits (up to accounts of $100,000)
  • Professionally managed by Fidelity Investments
