The Arc of South Norfolk offers a wide variety of services for individuals and families living in South Norfolk County and the surrounding communities.
Adult Day Services
Our Adult Day Services Programs offer individually tailored services for a diverse group adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our community includes persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, sensory and mobility impairments.
Family Support Program
The Family Support Center at The Arc of South Norfolk offers a wide range of general family support services and activities to families of children and adults who are eligible for DDS services and living at home with their families.
Adult Family Care
The Adult Family Care Program supports families with managing the daily living needs that individuals (18 or over) with developmental disabilities require to live in the community. Families received supports from a multidisciplinary team that includesa registered nurse and a care manager.
Family Autism Center
The Family Autism Center at The Arc of South Norfolk offers a wide range of general family support services and activities to families of children and adults who are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Social / Recreational Programs
The Social and Recreational Department offers social activities, sports, advocacy and adult education groups.
ALEC First Responder Training
ALEC (Autism & Law Enforcement Education Coalition) is a First Responder Autism Training targeted to equip First Responders with the knowledge and strategies to best serve individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a crisis situation.
Family Autism Center and Family Support offer a variety of Support Groups for family members of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related developmental disabilities.
Our Harbor Counseling Center is an out-patient mental health clinic that provides long-term and short-term therapies for adults with developmental disabilities and their families.
